Stinging Nettle #
Little Nettle’s Mamma did not know she was training her daughter to be a Roller Derby Ref when she dropped her off at Silver Circle East at 10 am every Saturday morning and picked her up at 6pm. Mamma Nettle just thought it was cheap babysitting. Little Nettle was getting skills, dodging, hopping around fallers, skating backwards, boogie shuffle and endurance from skating every song. Despite the blue furry belled pom-poms on her toes, she was a force to be reckoned with, placing a white leather boot to the shins of boys who were mean to her friends. A long time passed and she found herself back on wheels and ready to penalize, dodge and boogie shuffle again. You think it’s a walk in the woods until you get stung by the Nettle!
