And I saw the thirteenth seal opened, and behold, a pale horse: and she that sat upon him, her name was Vexine; and Hades followed with her. And there was given unto her dominion over the flat tracks of the earth, to smite with speed, and with ferocity, and with furious vengeance, and to roll with the wild Furies. And I saw there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth, and the whole moon became as blood; and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a derby girl casteth off her fishnets at the end of a brutal day. And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And lesser derby girls everywhere hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of she that rolleth with the Furies for the great day of vexation is come; and who is able to stand?
